Reel lawn mowers have no gas engine to help with the mowing and requires you to manually push the mower to mow the grass. So if you have hills to mow you might want to reconsider a reel mower.

This type of mower is quiet in operation so you can mow anytime without waking up the neighbors. You don’t have to worry about getting gas and oil for reel lawn mowers. No spark plug or electrical parts to worry about getting worn out. Reel lawn mowers are pretty much maintenance free. Push Lawn Mower – Different Types

There are four types of push lawn mowers and each will suite your needs. If you are into exercise then the manually pushed lawn mower may be for you. This push lawn mower is powered by you so think about it before you purchase.

The next one is electric and this type runs very quiet but you will have to be careful. That electric cord laying around in the yard while mowing may prove to be a hazard. I used my mother-in-law’s before and had to repair the cord after running over it. Not good. The next one and probably the most used is the gas powered push lawn mower. No cord to worry about, most are self-propelled so not hard to operate and will make mowing the lawn easier than a manually pushed lawn mower.
