Push Lawn Mower – Different Types
There are four types of push lawn mowers and each will suite your needs. If you are into exercise then the manually pushed lawn mower may be for you. This push lawn mower is powered by you so think about it before you purchase.
The next one is electric and this type runs very quiet but you will have to be careful. That electric cord laying around in the yard while mowing may prove to be a hazard. I used my mother-in-law’s before and had to repair the cord after running over it. Not good. The next one and probably the most used is the gas powered push lawn mower. No cord to worry about, most are self-propelled so not hard to operate and will make mowing the lawn easier than a manually pushed lawn mower. Also, they now have cordless lawn mowers which work well for most lawns.
Whatever push lawn mower you purchase will normally be made by a name brand manufacture. So getting a quality lawn mower will not be a problem.Prices vary from inexpensive to the vary expensive, the choice is yours.
The number one factor normally comes from the size of the yard you have to mow. Having a gas powered self-propelled push lawn mower will work best for large lawns where a manually pushed mower will work better in a small yard where noise may be a factor. The electric push lawn mower will work well with a medium yard if you keep the electric cord within reason.I wouldn’t go over a 100ft cord. If the cord is too long you will loose some of the power in the mower, so keep it enough to get the yard mowed. Plus less chance of running over it with the push lawn mower.
To summarize this to make it easier for you in your purchase. Just get the push lawn mower that will do the job for the size of lawn you need to mow and the ease at which you want to do the job. Prices vary but they all will do the job so that choice is up to you. Ease of operation of the push lawn mower can be a factor also, so if you need it simple don’t purchase one that will take a degree to operate. Be wise in your purchase.
